What is your pet’s intuitive communication style?

When you're trying to tune in and hear your animal's intuitive signals for the first time, even as sensitive and intuitive as you are, it's pretty normal for it to feel like trying to take down a piñata in the dark with a toothpick.

It helps to know the ways they *might* be trying to get messages across — but there are a lot of them! Here are a few common ones to get you started.

In multi-animal communication sessions, there is a somewhat magical experience that happens when I switch from talking with one pet to the next.

This back-to-back switching from sensing one pet’s intuitive voice to the next highlights the undeniably different intuitive style of each animal.

One might be an old Soul, a Big picture thinker who communicates by sharing sensory-rich and textured emotions and physical sensations, relaying what they feel alongside how they see the universe, time, source and everything in between.

The next might relay everything in a lightning-fast knowing, like an information pod that crashes into my intuitive vision, containing everything they want their person to know in a very “Just the facts, ma'am” kind of way.

The differences in how animals communicate are profound and fascinating.

My dog friend, Whiskey, is a soulful whispy intuitive communicator who kind of sneaks up on me and drops breadcrumbs to the slow-released sharing that she offers using a blend of heart-felt emotions, words and intuitive knowing.

12 Intuitive animal communication styles your animals may be using to get their message across

When intuitively communicating, animals emanate, send and share intuitive information by mixing and matching one or more of the following:

  1. Verbal (using intuitive words and accents!)

  2. Images and Pictures - of what and how they see their world

  3. Image and pictures - as symbols

  4. Emotions

  5. Mirroring (including: emotions, physical feeling, thoughts, words or ideas that they are picking up from you)

  6. Physical feelings in their body (that they show you in your body, with consent)

  7. Tastes and fragrances (from their perspective!)

  8. The felt sense of textures

  9. Energy vibes (think the felt sense of good or funky juju)

  10.  Flash knowing (like a lightning-fast download)

  11. Somatic and interoception information (what they sense inside their body)

  12. Proprioception (what they sense outside their body)

And this is just the short list!

My Cat friend Miss Kitty is a direct-AF communicator who confidently meets my energetic edges with words (including swear words) and clear vibes all of which are rich in texture and strong emotions. Girl does not mince words. ;)

What is your pet’s intuitive communication style?

Imagine what learning to recognize your animal's intuitive communication style would do for both of you… You would know what to look for, where to focus your intuitive antenna and you wouldn’t have to second-guess if you are really picking up your pet’s feelings and needs.

You would also be a stronger team when it comes to big and little stuff that you both encounter every day. Like…

  • Being able to tune into their food preferences (which makes caring for older animals and picky eaters so much easier).

  • Sensing into which park they want to go for their walk and how strenuous a walk they are up for.

  • Getting a feel for what they are truly asking for when they are seeking comfort, when they are unsure or afraid.

Knowing your animal familiar’s unique, intuitive conversation style deepens that oh so wonderful ooey-gooey love bond so you feel connected and closer than ever.
