Have a nearly perfect pet? Here's what to ask them…

Are you lucky to live with a low maintenance, practically perfect animal friend?

Here's a short list of powerfully mundane questions to ask them that are sure to lead to profound epiphanies about yourself and your pets

Hello Dear Intuitive One,

I feel super lucky that my dog friend, Whiskey, is practically perfect.  Aside from some well managed chronic health issues, and her affinity for cat poo, she doesn’t really have any vices.

This gray faced old dog, loves kids, loves people, the car, new places, is beyond polite, doesn’t jump and loves walking on or off leash.

She’s the kind of lady who doesn’t complain about anything. From our chats over the years, I’ve learned that some of her lack of complaining is because she’s mastered the dog version of people pleasing as a way to cope in her life before she met us. She and I are a lot alike in this way and we’re working on transforming our people pleasing habits together :)

Dog friend Whiskey has MASTERED her “I need a cookie” smile. Really, I dare you to try to resist her bright eyes and crooked teefs.

Intuitive conversations with low maintenance pets

Because she’s such a low maintenance dog, I often wonder if I’m doing enough for her. Am I caring for her in the right ways? Is she getting what she needs?

I know I’m not alone in this. I hear this same list of questions from fellow animal lovers all the time.

We wonder if our pets are happy, and what we can do to make them happier. We wonder if they feel their needs are met, if they want longer or shorter walks and if they like their food. It’s exactly these kinds of questions I LOVE tackling in an intuitive conversation with clients and with my own animal friends.

And in my two decades of doing this work, I’ve seen time and time again that when we ask our animal beloveds these seemingly mundane questions, they always lead to life changing epiphanies about ourselves and our pets.

Epiphanies like the shy cats who have shared BIG picture spiritual insights about their past lives,

Like the perfectly well behaved horses who have shared the powerful lessons they recognize they are learning along side their humans,

And like my dog friend, Whiskey, who has shared insights about people pleasing which have opened to new possibilities of the two of us supporting one another in our healing.

What I’d love to remind you of is that there is so much to learn from your animal beloveds. There’s no need to wait until something big comes up to have a proper conversation about whatever is on your minds.

Thanks for tuning in with me today,

“My dog and I both have anxiety disorders, which has created some friction in our bond, and the session with Joanna helped bridge a much-needed gap.

Through the love chat, my sweet girl offered some suggestions to help us both “weather the storms,” and I now feel a deeper connection with her. We are spending more time cuddling and cozying, leaning in, and eye gazing. It feels really good “
