Guided Oracle Meditation for Grounding

I have a new ritual I’d love to tell you about. It’s been helping me quiet the noise from the world and tune in with my center so I can stay present, intuitively alert, and true to myself despite what is unfolding in the world.

And while we are at it, I’d love to give you a special gift: A guided meditation to help you embody grounded ease through the busy holidays.

Grounded ease oracle meditation: starts at 6:39 minutes

Hello Dear Intuitive One,

I have a new ritual that I do before deep intuitive listening. Before lighting the candle on my altar or opening sacred space for the work, I pull a card to help me ground to my own center.

I pull a card (or a few cards) by following my gut to the message I need to hear. Then I follow the card’s suggestion to help me listen inward to my center in a new way.

Each time I start my intuitive listening practice this way, the cards help me get out of my overfull headspace and into my heart and center like nothing else I’ve ever experienced.

The deck is one I created… and then created again (more about that in a bit). The cards offer lovely little bite-sized self-inquiry questions that help us reconnect with who we are at our core, which is handy when we get swept up in the thoughts and feelings of others.

This ritual gives me a moment of calm and peace to ground to my center so when I tune-in with my animal clients or embark on a journey for a Soul Work session, I’m clear, present and in the now. All so important for any intuitive listening, or before meditation, or after yoga, or with your morning tea...

When I pull a card from this deck, I get a whole body sensation of YES, like this is exactly what I needed to hear and It feels like magic.

Transforming heady perfectionist stuckness into co-creative flow

Getting to this point wasn’t easy but it has been fun.

The first printing of this deck was an experiment. I had never created a deck of cards like this before and my goal was to make them as lovely and useful as possible. I was shooting for that 80% good enough mark to stay just under the radar of my inner perfectionist.

I printed just 50 of these decks and I wrapped each deck with hemp twine and a personalized name tag, just like a gift.

When the little box of 50 decks was nearly bare and it was time to print a second batch, every fiber of my intuitive nature was telling me to rework the deck a little. They needed a little something, a slightly different kind of magic woven in.

The process of reworking these cards felt like adding seasoning to an already great stew. A little more savory here, a pinch of something there, and then, suddenly, like magic, the deck felt complete.

Not just done, not just good enough, but radiant.

These little changes added up to a palpable difference in the power of this deck.

In the end I added several cards (including the Interoception card pictured above), cleaned up the questions so they could guide you right on out of your head and into your heart and body much better, and I gave the deck a new name: “The Reclaiming Center Oracle”.

What is the difference between Oracle cards and Tarot cards?

Tarot cards are great at giving you a sense of what is unfolding OUTSIDE of you that may be affecting your path forward in the world.

Oracle cards are great at giving you a sense of what is brewing INSIDE of you to help you sense your inner world more deeply and clearly.

Out of the two, I love oracle cards the best. I’m of the school of thought that the more present we are within ourselves, the more responsive we can be to what is unfolding around us.

Steady center → Clear intuition → Clarity in how to move forward with grounded ease.

And for those of us who are highly sensitive empaths, every opportunity we are given to turn the volume down on the noise from outside of us is a gift.

Grounded Ease: A guided meditation

As we move into the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, I’d love to offer you a guided meditation to help you reclaim your inner resourcefulness and move forward with grounded ease.

In this mediation I’ll be sharing the messages from three cards (pictured above) from the “Reclaiming Center Oracle” for inspiration for our mediation. As a reminder you can listen along to this meditation by clicking on the dark blue audio link at the top of this post.

I invite you to rest your eyes and put down all the burdens you are carrying these days,

release them from your shoulders and your jaw.

Give yourself permission to settle into the now

Give your mind permission to rest and your heart permission to awaken - let these two aspects of you be balanced.

I invite you to listen in from this balanced place and ask yourself the following three questions,

Resource: Which of my inner resources can I call on to help me feel more grounded in this moment?

Self: What aspects of myself have I left behind, given away or uninvited from my life? What do I need to re-integrate these aspects of myself home to my center?

Ease: Which aspects of my body, energy and mind resist ease? How can I nourish myself so I can have the capacity to receive the gifts offered by ease?

To finish this meditation, I invite you to place a hand on your heart and a hand on your belly and give yourself a moment to sense the ways your breath can nourish the inner resources you carry within,

the ways the movement of your breath can give each aspect of you an inner hug

and the ways the natural pace of your calm breath can invite more ease into your body and presence.

Thanks for tuning in with me today,

XO

Joanna
